Position Summary:
A Marketing Manager at a University oversees the planning and execution of marketing strategies to promote the institution, its programs, and events. The role involves driving student enrolment, enhancing the university’s brand, and fostering engagement with prospective and current students, alumni, and stakeholders through various marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the university’s goals.
- Identify target audiences, market trends, and competitive positioning to maximize outreach.
Brand Development and Management:
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing materials and platforms.
- Monitor and enhance the university’s brand reputation through public relations and campaigns.
Digital and Traditional Marketing Campaigns:
- Manage online advertising, social media, email campaigns, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Utilize traditional methods such as print media, TV, and radio for broader reach.
Content Creation and Oversight:
- Collaborate with teams to produce engaging content, including videos, blogs, brochures, and newsletters.
- Highlight academic programs, research achievements, and student success stories.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze campaign effectiveness.
- Provide reports and recommendations based on metrics to improve future campaigns.
Event Marketing:
- Coordinate promotional efforts for campus events, open houses, and recruitment drives.
- Partner with departments to enhance the visibility of academic and cultural events.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with admissions, academic departments, and alumni relations teams to align marketing efforts.
- Foster relationships with external media, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals.
- Assign tasks, oversee project execution, and ensure deadlines are met.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in digital marketing, SEO, and social media strategies.
- Analytical skills for interpreting data and optimizing campaigns.
- Project and team management capabilities.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role (experience in education is a plus).
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
